1. St. Louis Rams - Ndamukong Suh, DT/DE, 6-4, 305, Nebraska I'm sure the Rams would love to get a quarterback, but none of them have a compelling enough case to be the top pick. They grab the best player in the class in Suh (Plan B: Gerald McCoy) 2. Detroit Lions - Russell Okung, OT, 6-5, 300, Oklahoma State I feel the plan in Detroit is to continue to address the offense though the draft, and the defense through free agency. I don't buy into the talk about Jeff Backus being a pro bowl caliber left tackle. Numbers don't lie, and he often was beat for a sack. The depth of the defensive tackle class should also play into this decision. (Plan B: Gerald McCoy) 3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Gerald McCoy, DT, 6-4, 295, Oklahoma* Need meets value here. Most project McCoy as no worse than the 2nd best player in the class. His style of play perfectly fits the Bucs scheme. (Plan B: Eric Berry) 4. Washington Redskins - Eric Berry, S, 5-11, 195, Tennessee* I don't believe the Redskins will be going quarterback here. Berry is a bit off the radar for the Skins, but his value here is too much to pass up. He's the most versatile of any DB in this class, and could create a nice safety tandem with former 1st rounder LaRon Landry. (Plan B: Jimmy Clausen) 5. Kansas City Chiefs - Anthony Davis, OT, 6-6, 330, Rutgers* This pick falls right in line with the Chiefs needs. With Davis, and Branden Albert, the Chiefs have options on how to configure the offensive line going forward. Likely, Albert goes to the right side, and Davis the left. (Plan B: Rolando McClain) 6. Seattle Seahawks - Jimmy Clausen, QB, 6-3, 217, Notre Dame* Pete Carroll wasn't able to land Clausen as a recruit, but he gets him as a draft pick. With the franchise moving forward, so does the quarterback position. (Plan B: Derrick Morgan) 7. Cleveland Browns - Joe Haden, CB, 5-11, 185, Florida* The Browns get a potential shut down corner here. Haden is the best CB prospect since Darrelle Revis. Rolando McClain will get a long, hard look as well. (Plan B: Rolando McClain) 8. Oakland Raiders - Derrick Morgan, DE, 6-4, 270, Georgia Tech* Always tough to get into the head of Al Davis. Derrick Morgan fits from a need/value standpoint, and his combine performance should also be up to Raiders standards. (Plan B: Sam Bradford or player with the best 40 time) 9. Buffalo Bills - Sam Bradford, QB, 6-4, 218, Oklahoma* The Bills have to be happy to see Bradford still on the board. The quarterback play has been awful in Buffalo and needs corrected for the Bills to begin circling the wagons again. (Plan B: Bryan Bulaga) 10. Jacksonville Jaguars - Earl Thomas, S/CB, 5-10, 190, Texas# A big need for the Jags is a FS who can actually tackle. The Jags spent a high pick on Reggie Nelson a few years ago, but he hasn't panned out. (Plan B: Jared Odrick) 11. Denver Broncos (from CHI) - Rolando McClain, ILB, 6-4, 250, Alabama* All of the sudden ILB is a deep position for the Broncos. With the new 3-4 defense in place, McClain's high football I.Q. could be perfect to lead the defense in the years to come. (Plan B: Dez Bryant) 12. Miami Dolphins - Brandon Graham, DE/OLB, 6-2, 270, Michigan Bill Parcells loves edge rushers who can get to the quarterback. Graham's comparison's to LaMarr Woodley will make it hard for 3-4 teams to pass him up. (Plan B: Dez Bryant) 13. San Francisco 49ers - Bryan Bulaga, OT, 6-6, 305, Iowa* The 49ers need to get better accross the offensive line. With Bulaga, and Joe Staley, the Niners have options similar to the Chiefs. Ultimately Staley probably goes back to the right side and Bulaga is the new left tackle going forward. (Plan B: C.J. Spiller) 14. Seattle Seahawks (from DEN) - Dez Bryant, WR, 6-2, 210, Oklahoma State* It's always a good approach to pair draft picks. With the Seahawks already taking Clausen, they get him a reciever to grow with and possibly create the type of chemistry other great QB/WR tandems have in the past. (Plan B: C.J. Spiller) 15. New York Giants - Jared Odrick, DT/DE, 6-5, 308, Penn State The Giants love versatile defensive linement, so I know they will love Odrick. Aside from being a Giants type player, Odrick is also a very good value here. (Plan B: C.J. Spiller) 16. Tennessee Titans - Sean Weatherspoon, OLB, 6-1, 235, Missouri With many questions about the linebacking core going into next season, they Titans land a versatile guy who can probably play all three LB spots. This gives the Titans options, and a very vocal leader to replace the aging Keith Bulluck as the leader of the defense. (Plan B: Dan Williams) 17. San Francisco 49ers (from CAR) - Mike Iupati, OG, 6-5, 330, Idaho In sticking with the theme to improve the offensive line, the 49ers get a dominant run blocker with some versatility of his own. Frank Gore has to be a fan of this pick. (Plan B: Jerry Hughes) 18. Pittsburgh Steelers - Dan Williams, DT/NT, 6-3, 312, Tennessee Casey Hampton is scheduled to be a free agent. Even if resigned, there still is a need at the nose tackle position going forward because Hampton will be 33 next year. (Plan B: Mardy Gilyard) 19. Atlanta Falcons - Sergio Kindle, OLB/DE, 6-4, 238, Texas When Keith Brooking and Michael Boley left in free agency, the cupboard was left bare at linebacker. The Falcons get a player who is very underrated against the run, and best fits a 4-3 system in my opinion, even though that's not the consensus. (Plan B: Jermaine Gresham) 20. Houston Texans - Brian Price, DT, 6-1, 295, UCLA* With all the high picks the Texans have spent on the defensive line, it's sort of hard to give them Price. But from a need/value standpoint he fits very well. (Plan B: Kyle Wilson) 21. Cincinnati Bengals - Mardy Gilyard, WR, 6-1, 192, Cincinnati Rumor has it that Ochocinco and Gilyard are both lobbying for this pick. With the passing of Chris Henry, the Bengals are left with a void. Gilyard is versatile and could help in many areas. Hometown picks are always nice as well. (Plan B: Carlos Dunlap) 22. New England Patriots - C.J. Spiller, RB, 5-11, 190, Clemson The Patriots could be getting the steal of the draft here. Spiller is the type of playmaker who could really round out an already potent offense. (Plan B: Jerry Hughes) 23. Green Bay Packers - Trent Williams, OT/OG, 6-5, 305, Oklahoma The Packers have several holes accross their offensive line. With Williams they get perhaps the most versatile offensive linemen in the draft. He likely won't be a left tackle, but he could play anywhere else for them. (Plan B: Brandon Spikes) 24. Philadelphia Eagles - Carlos Dunlap, DE, 6-6, 286, Florida* There are several directions the Eagles could go. By adding Dunlap, they now have a legitimate pass rushing presence across from Trent Cole. (Plan B: Daryl Washington) 25. Baltimore Ravens - Golden Tate, WR, 5-11, 195, Notre Dame* The Ravens really need to get better at the wide receiver postion. It's hard to anticipate which of the available receivers they would prefer here. Ultimately I think the play-making ability of Tate makes him the pick. (Plan B: Damian Williams) 26. Arizona Cardinals - Jermaine Gresham, TE, 6-6, 261, Oklahoma The Cardinals have a pretty well rounded offense, but have holes at left tackle, and tight end, and big questions at the quarterback position. The receiving ability and ability to stretch the field Gresham has, could go a long way in helping Matt Leinart develop. (Plan B: Jason Fox) 27. Dallas Cowboys - Jason Fox, OT, 6-7, 305, Miami The Cowboys line is aging and in need of an overhaul. In an attempt to send a message, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Cowboys come away with 3 or more offensive linemen this draft. (Plan B: Kyle Wilson) 28. San Diego Chargers - Cam Thomas, DT/NT, 6-3, 328, North Carolina The Chargers have a big need for a big nose tackle. With Thomas they not only get a nose tackle, but they get a player versatile enough to kick outside and play the 5 technique if needed. This might be a bit of a reach, but one that could work out well for them. (Plan B: Terrence Cody) 29. New York Jets - Damian Williams, WR, 6-1, 190, Southern California* Could this work out any better for the Jets? They need receivers, and they get a great value, and a former teamate of Mark Sanchez. (Plan B: Kyle Wilson) 30. Minnesota Vikings - Bruce Campbell, OT, 6-7, 295, Maryland* Bryant McKinnie was benched last season, and the Vikings have little depth behind him. Campbell is a bit of a project, but has a big upside. It's hard to anticipate which available OT they would prefer, but Campbell seems the most deserving of a first round pick because of his upside. (Plan B: Tim Tebow) 31. Indianapolis Colts - Jerry Hughes, DE/OLB, 6-2, 242, Texas Christian The rich get richer here. The Colts already have the best pass rushing tandem in the league, now they get the best pass rusher in college football over the past two seasons. In an effort to get immeditate return value out of Hughes, he could line up at OLB or DE. (Plan B: Daryl Washington) 32. New Orleans Saints - Daryl Washington, ILB/OLB, 6-2, 234, Texas Christian The Saints offense is in good shape, but the defense needs some consistancy because they can't rely on turnovers forever. Washington's syle of play could be a refreshing addition to the Saints defense. Washington is perhaps a slight reach here, and maybe a bit of a boom or bust prospect. (Plan B: Navorro Bowman)
33. St. Louis Rams - Tim Tebow, QB, 6-3, 240, Florida 34. Detroit Lions - Terrence Cody, DT/NT, 6-5, 368, Alabama 35. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jason Pierre-Paul, DE/OLB, 6-6, 265, South Florida* 36. Kansas City Chiefs - Brandon Spikes, ILB, 6-3, 245, Florida 37. Washington Redskins - Colt McCoy, QB, 6-3, 210, Texas 38. Cleveland Browns - Brandon LaFell, WR, 6-3, 194, Louisiana State 39. Oakland Raiders - Kyle Wilson, CB, 5-10, 190, Boise State 40. Seattle Seahawks - Taylor Mays, FS/SS, 6-3, 230, Southern California 41. Buffalo Bills - Navorro Bowman, OLB, 6-1, 228, Penn State* 42. New England Patriots (from JAX) - Greg Hardy, DE/OLB, 6-4, 265, Mississippi 43. Miami Dolphins - Arrelious Benn, WR/RB, 6-2, 215, Illinois* 44. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (from CHI) - DeMaryius Thomas, WR, 6-3, 228, Georgia Tech* 45. Denver Broncos - Devin McCourty, CB, 5-11, 186, Rutgers 46. New York Giants - Chad Jones, SS/FS, 6-3, 218, Louisiana State* 47. Carolina Panthers - Tony Pike, QB, 6-6, 215, Cincinnati 48. New England Patriots (from TEN) - Donovan Warren, CB, 6-0, 185, Michigan* 49. San Francisco 49ers - Jahvid Best, RB, 5-10, 195, California* 50. Kansas City Chiefs (from ATL) - Ricky Sapp, DE/OLB, 6-4, 242, Clemson 51. Houston Texans - Morgan Burnett, SS/FS, 6-1, 200, Georgia Tech* 52. Pittsburgh Steelers - Charles Brown, OT, 6-6, 300, Southern California 53. New England Patriots - Vince Oghobaase, DT/DE, 6-6, 310, Duke 54. Cincinnati Bengals - Everson Griffin, DE/OLB. 6-3, 263, Southern California* 55. Philadelphia Eagles - Vladimir Ducasse, OG/OT, 6-5, 330, Massachusetts 56. Green Bay Packers - Patrick Robinson, CB, 5-11, 192, Florida State 57. Baltimore Ravens - Arthur Jones, DT/DE, 6-4, 300, Syracuse 58. Arizona Cardinals - Maurkice Pouncey, C/OG, 6-5, 312, Florida* 59. Dallas Cowboys - Jon Asamoah, OG/OT, 6-5, 315, Illinois 60. San Diego Chargers - Ryan Mathews, RB, 5-11, 215, Fresno State* 61. New York Jets - Perrish Cox, CB, 6-1, 195, Oklahoma State 62. Minnesota Vikings - Amari Spievey, CB, 6-0, 190, Iowa* 63. Indianapolis Colts - Eric Olsen, C/OG, 6-4, 305, Notre Dame 64. New Orleans Saints - Lamarr Houston, DT, 6-2, 300, Texas
65. St. Louis Rams - Aaron Hernandez, TE, 6-3, 255, Florida* 66. Detroit Lions - Dexter McCluster, WR/RB, 5-8, 170, Mississippi 67. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Syd'Quan Thompson, CB, 5-9, 190, California 00. Washington Redskins - Selection Forfeited Due to Use of 3rd Round Selection in 2009 Supplemental Draft 68. Kansas City Chiefs - Jordan Shipley, WR, 6-0, 190, Texas 69. Oakland Raiders - Dekoda Watson, OLB, 6-2, 226, Florida State 70. Philadelphia Eagles (from SEA) - Nate Allen, FS, 6-2, 205, South Florida 71. Cleveland Browns - Larry Asante, SS, 6-0, 211, Nebraska 72. Buffalo Bills - Corey Wootton, DE, 6-7, 270, Northwestern 73.
