South Practice
QB Warm Up
- Tim Tebow, QB UF, under center: looks much more comfortable.
- Tebow showed some good velocity on the deep ball, then followed it up with a horrible mechanic rushed throw that went way behind the receiver.
Blitz protection
- Ben Tate, RB Auburn, really got a piece of Daryl Sharpton, LB Miami.
- Anthony Dixon, RB Mississippi, had horrible technique, but still got Eric Norwood, LB South Carolina.
- Stafon Johnson, RB USC, Ben Tate and Jimmy Graham, TE Miami, are stealing this show.
- Dexter McCluster, RB/WR Mississippi, worked hard and got a piece of Sharpton, but Sharpton just threw him out of the way.
Passing drill
- Tebow with a good deep ball, Jimmy Graham with an acrobatic catch. Keep an eye on Graham.
- The ball really comes out on Jarrett Browns hand.
- Cameron Sheffield, DE Troy, just made a great play in coverage on a TE. He undercut the route.
9-7. Inside drills
- Dan Williams, DT Tennessee, and Terrence Cody, NT Bama, completely stopped any push the offense had.
1-1 WR/DB
- Riley Cooper, WR Florida, has horrible concentration and hands. But he is getting separation on everyone.
- Javier Arenas, CB Bama, looks pretty good in man coverage.
- Joe Webb, WR UAB, Still impresses me. Big and strong, great push off of press and great hands.
1-1 WR/DB red zone
- Jerome Murphy, CB USF, shows a good punch in press coverage.
- Trevard Lindley, CB UK, looks better in off man. He struggles when he is on the line.
- Cooper is eating press coverage alive so far this week.
